The in-person version of the course is held at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa campus visit every summer. Students are transported from Waianae and Nanakuli high schools every morning. For a whole week, the students work for about 3-4h hours with the Raspberry Pi computers. Every student has their own setup, and their is plenty of time to explore and learn.In addition, the participants visit other labs in the Department of Physics & Astronomy and have the chance to visit a real college lecture. The first iteration took place in 2016, and took place annually since then (only interrupted in 2020 by the pandemic).
